Our Terms & Conditions will apply to all transactions on this website and are intended to follow the guidelines set out in the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. They do not affect your statutory rights.
Our terms & conditions may change at any time. Changes will take effect on the date they are posted. Before placing an order you are asked to read and accept these terms & conditions.
At various stages during the ordering process and before finally submitting your order you will have the opportunity to check and correct any input errors.
After submitting your order our system will respond with an automated email to the address given during the ordering process, please note this email is an acknowledgement of and not an acceptance of your order. If an item is in stock on our website, it may not be in stock at all stores. If you are making a special journey, please contact your local store for availability.
Prices, Payment & VAT
All prices and charges are shown in UK pounds sterling, include any VAT payable, but exclude delivery charges.
The total cost of your order will be the price of the products you order plus the applicable delivery charges. All delivery charges are detailed during the ordering process.
Please note that online orders (also know as "mail-order") are not valid for Tax Free Shopping or VAT refunds if you are a non-European resident and plan to take the goods with you when you leave the country. This is outlined on the Government Website in more detail.
We can arrange to sell goods without VAT to residents of the Channel Islands. Please contact us to arrange this. Alternatively if you have already made a purchase, please contact us and we can refund the VAT portion. Both the billing and delivery address must be in a valid, VAT free location.
If you are British Forces overseas using the BFPO postage system and your location qualifies for VAT free purchases, we can arrange this - please contact us before making a purchase.
When placing an order, customers must provide a valid contact method including a telephone number and email address. We use this information to contact you in relation to your order and to provide the most accurate tracking information. If no valid phone number or email is provided, your order may not be shipped and we will await contact from you. Please consider that if you provide false or incorrect information that we have no way to tell you about this.
Delivery & Postage
We will endeavour to deliver goods within the times stated, but goods are subject to availability and delay in delivery times is sometimes outside our control. If you require a next day delivery, there is a cut off point of 3pm Monday - Friday (or 1pm for orders paid for via Finance Agreement). Orders placed after this will be dispatched on the following working day. Working days are classed as Monday to Friday. Any dates we specify for delivery are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivery.
Postage charges are as detailed on the order page, however our couriers do make extra charges for certain areas (Northern Ireland, Northern Scotland, Highlands & Islands etc.) we will always inform should the delivery charge be more than specified.
Orders placed and paid for using a finance agreement through our current Finance provider cannot be shipped to an alternate address and will only be dispatched to the billing (finance agreement) address, regardless of whether you choose an alternate delivery address when placing your order. We will always endeavour to contact you to remind you of this before dispatching your parcel, but if we cannot contact you your parcel will be dispatched to your billing address so as not to delay your receipt of the goods.
As the items we sell are only intended for sale within the UK market, we will only ship within the UK. Orders which are found to be deliberately contravening this will be cancelled. The only exception to this is if you are British Forces operating overseas and using the BFPO postage service.
We will not deliver to mail forwarding companies and orders using a mail forwarding provider address for delivery will be cancelled without notice.
If you have chosen to change your delivery information from that supplied and confirmed on your order confirmation, for example by redirecting the parcel to a "safe place" or alternative addres, then we will not be held responsible should the item go missing. By choosing to have your parcel delivered to an alternative location or safe place, you are taking responsibility for that location being safe and secure and therefore any liability should this not be the case. Where the tracking and proof of delivery (images and or/GPS co-ordinates and/or driver statements) shows that the parcel was delivered in accordance with any instructions given, we will not reimburse or replace items.

Order cancellation & Returns
Your order can be cancelled at any time either before or up to 14 days after delivery by: e-mailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Telephoning us on 01772 252188, in writing to Wilkinson Cameras, Mail Order Dept, Unit 25 Charnley Fold, Bamber Bridge, Preston, PR5 6PS. Your order reference or transaction number must be quoted in each case.
Your goods must be complete, unused and in 'as new' condition (e.g. if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the goods in any way). Goods should be returned with the original box, packing and accessories. All software, CDs, must be sealed. Any 'Free Gifts' received with the goods must also be returned.
You will receive a full refund, and the cancellation is free of charge provided you inform us that you intend to cancel within this 14 day period. You then have 14 days to return the item(s). When returning products you are advised to use an insured parcel service, which requires a signature, as we cannot be held responsible for products lost or damaged in transit. Refunds will not be issued until the goods have been returned and checked. If we cannot deem the item to be "as new" when it is returned to us, the order will be subject only to a partial refund to reflect that it can no longer be sold by us as new.
We cannot cancel your order when: You are unable to provide proof of purchase. The seal has been broken on any software or consumables. The goods were special order to your specification. When returning products by post / Courier you are advised to use an insured parcel service, which requires a signature, as we cannot be held responsible for products lost or damaged in transit. Please note, you are responsible for any postage costs when returning an item.
Christmas Gift Returns
For orders placed online between December 1st and December 23rd inclusive, returns can be made until January 15th inclusive.
For orders placed in-store between December 1st and December 24th inclusive, returns can be made until January 15th inclusive.
(Returns may only be made up until January 15th of the following year: i.e. January 15th 2021 for Christmas gits ordered in December 2020).
Please ensure you contact us before returning your item.
If posting items to us, they must be posted on or before January 15th at the very latest. Items posted after this will not be eligible for a full refund. You can also take your item into your local store, if applicable.
Unwanted Christmas gifts can either be refunded or exchanged, but only when the packaging is in tact and seals unbroken where applicable. Items must be complete, unused and "as new" when returned. Faulty Goods / Equipment Repair
If there is a fault with your goods within the specified guarantee period, we will normally offer a prompt repair, exchange or refund (at our discretion). Under normal circumstances we will offer you the choice of an exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 28 days of delivery.
To qualify for a refund or exchange the goods must be: In otherwise 'as new' condition, and complete with any accessories and free gifts offered with it (and if possible, the original box and packing).
If your goods develop a fault during the manufactures guarantee period (usually twelve months from delivery), please visit our dedicated Repairs Information page, which covers both in-warranty and out of warranty faulty product information for new items.
Guarantees and warranties do not cover faults caused by neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear. Consumable items (e.g. batteries, film, ink cartridges, paper) are not covered under the terms of the guarantee.
This returns policy does not affect your legal rights.
Grey Imports (we only sell geniune UK stock)
All the items we sell are designed for sale within the UK and are bought directly from the manufacturer or their authorised distributor. We DO NOT sell grey imports and therefore you can be confident in knowing that we are eligible for offers from the manufacturers, such as cashback offers, etc. You can also be confident that VAT has been paid on the items you are buying and that they will have a valid UK/EU warranty supported by the manufacturer.
You will be able to verify that we are authorised dealers by checking the "where to buy" section of the brand website or when checking to see if we are eligible for marketwide promotions, by looking for our name in the list of authorised dealers in the terms & conditions. Please note that in some cases we are listed by our offical business name "Frank Wilkinson Cameras Ltd."
