The Sigma 200mm F2 DG OS | Sports is the world’s first 200mm F2 telephoto prime lens designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras. It uses an advanced optical design with 19 elements in 14 groups, including FLD and SLD glass. This corrects axial and magnification chromatic aberrations that are usually noticeable in telephoto lenses. Even at the maximum F2 aperture, the lens delivers outstanding detail and clarity with sharp results from the centre to the corners of the frame.

The large F2 aperture gathers twice as much light as an F2.8 lens, making it possible to create dramatic background separation with smooth, rounded bokeh. Combined with the natural compression of the 200mm focal length, subjects stand out beautifully against a soft background. This makes the lens ideal for striking portraits and creative expression where subject isolation is important.

The bright aperture allows faster shutter speeds, even in low-light conditions, which is particularly useful for indoor sports or events. Sigma’s High-response Linear Actuator (HLA) autofocus motor delivers fast, quiet, and precise focusing. In combination with the OS2 optical stabilisation algorithm, which is effective up to 6.5 stops, you can shoot handheld or track fast-moving subjects with confidence.
