The Sigma 200mm F2 DG OS | Sports sets a new standard for L-Mount shooters. With an optical design of 19 elements in 14 groups, including two FLD and two SLD elements, it effectively corrects chromatic aberrations and maintains outstanding resolution across the image. Even wide open at F2, this lens produces finely detailed results with high contrast and clarity.

The combination of the bright F2 aperture and the telephoto reach of 200mm produces beautiful background blur and natural compression. Portraits gain depth and atmosphere, while subjects are rendered with striking separation. The rounded 11-blade diaphragm enhances the smoothness of out-of-focus areas, adding a premium quality to every shot.

Indoor sports and fast-moving subjects benefit from the combination of a wide F2 aperture, high-speed AF from the HLA motor, and 6.5-stop stabilisation. The OS2 algorithm provides powerful stabilisation in both general shooting and panning modes. This makes it possible to capture sharp, dynamic images, even in challenging conditions where light is limited or action is unpredictable.

The Sports line construction ensures reliability in demanding environments. The lens body is protected by a dust- and splash-resistant structure and thermal-insulated paint to minimise overheating in direct sunlight. The front element is coated with a water- and oil-repellent finish, making cleaning easier. The updated tripod socket includes a longer base for stability and an Arca-Swiss compatible foot, while multiple function switches and AFL buttons give you full control while shooting.

In addition to the robust design, L-Mount photographers benefit from extra options. The lens is compatible with the Sigma USB Dock UD-11 (sold separately), allowing firmware updates and custom settings to be applied. Users can also choose between linear and non-linear manual focus response, tailoring the lens to their style of shooting.
