Whatever The Light

Thanks to a large maximum aperture of F1.4, this lens performs particularly well in low-light situations as it permits a greater amount of light to reach the camera's sensor. When light is ample, the lens enables beautiful shallow depth of field, making the lens perfect for other areas of work such as portraiture. It also features Sigma's Super Multi-Layer Coating which helps to reduce lens flare and ghosting, especially useful if shooting a subject that is backlit.

This truly is a very versatile lens and is capable of producing quality images in a range of situations, for a range of different shooting types. It excels in low-light conditions thanks to it's wide F1.4 aperture whilst it's wide field of view makes it a solid choice if shooting sweeping wide landscapes or architecture. Despite being a wider lens, it is also handy when it comes to portraiture, as it features a 9-blade rounded aperture which, paired with it's wide aperture, enables to creation of beautiful smooth, creamy bokeh which is ideal for subject isolation. The lens has a close focussing distance of only 25cm so is perfect for creating images with an alternate perspective.
