The Pentax WG-90 has a heavy-duty construction. It is not only waterproof down to 14 metres for upt o 2-hours continuous operation, but is also shockproof from a height of up to 1.6 metres, dustproof (equivalent to IP6X), freezeproof to temperatures as low as -10°C and crushproof against weights up to 100kgf. Thanks to this, the WG-90 really is perfect to take on any adventure.

The WG-90 is equipped with a back-illuminated CMOS sensor, which assures excellent high-sensitivity and low-noise characteristics and high-speed readout of image data. Coupled with a high-performance imaging engine, this image sensor delivers a top sensitivity of ISO6400 and super-high-resolution images with approx. 16.0 effective megapixels. It also provides advanced image processing functions, made possible by super-resolution technology, to deliver sharper, clearer, higher resolution images. It even offers innovative features such as Handheld Night Snap mode, which automatically produces a single blur-free composite image using several images of the same night-time scene.

The WG-90 features a high-performance, 5x optical zoom lens with a focal range of approx. 28-140mm (35mm equiv.) to accommodate a wide-range of scenes and subjects. It also provides other-user-friendly shooting functions such as Intelligent Zoom which extends the zoom range by approximately 36x, for super-high-magnification telephoto shooting without compromising image quality, and an interval shooting mode which comes in handy for fixed-point photography.

The WG-90 can shoot stunning Macro as close as 1cm. It features 6 LED Macro Lights which are positioned around the lens barrel. In the Macro Lighting mode, these can be adjusted between 5 intensity levels to ensure the correct and ideal level of lighting is supplied. WG-90 allows you to creatively and effortlessly capture this amazing microscopic world, which is normally undetectable with naked eye. A macro stand is included as standard to stabilise the WG-90 at the minimum focussing distance of 1cm.
