The Panasonic Lumix S 50mm f/1.8 Lens is the ideal lens for a variety of uses, ranging from portrait to landscape. It is lightweight and portable, and features a rugged, dust and splash resistant design, able to withstand temperatures down to -10 degrees Celsius. It is one of Panasonic’s F1.8 series of L-Mount lenses for Lumix S cameras. These lenses share a common 67mm filter thread, dimensions and weights. This is great for videographers who don’t want to rebalance a gimbal between shot as well as photographers and filmmakers who want to share one set of filters across a range of fast prime lenses.

The LUMIX S 50mm F1.8 is one a series of fixed focal length, large-aperture F1.8 lenses based on the L-Mount system standard. These lenses feature a common size and position of control parts to provide practical advantages in use, and the centre of gravity of these lenses is almost the same so that it is easy to exchange lenses quickly with minimum balance adjustment when the camera is on a gimbal. Common filters can also be used thanks to the same diameter, and the descriptive performance of these lenses is also consistent.

High Optical Quality

The Panasonic Lumix S 50mm F1.8 lens is comprised of nine lens elements in eight groups including three aspherical lenses, one ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lens and one UHR (Ultra-High Refractive Index) lens. This lens construction minimises aberrations and ensures superb resolution. The lens also features a 9-blade circular aperture diaphragm, which produces beautiful bokeh.
