Placed on the same optical axis as the lens, the ring flash provides a shadowless character of light, so that the subject is evenly illuminated and all details are clearly visible. In addition, the round shape of the flash creates a unique reflection in the eyes of the photographed model, which is an interesting procedure in portrait sessions. The flash is also enhanced with a diffuser to soften the light.
