For International Women’s Day 2022, we wanted to let you get to know some of our staff members a little better. Ella is part of our marketing and ecommerce team and she has roles doing both. She’s only been with us for 3 months now, but she’s a key part of our team.

 

Ella is responsible for most of our social media as well as a lot of behind the scenes work with the website. That person who liked your picture on Instagram or replied to your comments… you’re usually talking to Ella!
Sometimes we rope Ella into modelling for us in front of the camera, but she’s equally as proficient, behind it.

 

 

 

 

Photography or videography?

I’m passionate about photography, but I like to dabble in video occasionally.

Favourite genre?

I shoot portraits mostly, but band portrait photography in particular. I love capturing memorable moments of humans and getting creative with creative people.
My main passions in life are music and photography so being able to combine them is just perfect.

Current camera?

I use a Canon EOS 6D. I’ve had it for years now, but it does what I need it to do and I think I’m a bit attached to it!

Dream camera?

Working at Wilkinson Cameras means I’ve been able to try out some newer cameras as well and I do like how small and light the Sony A7 III is, plus I’d love to have the Eye AF that features in a lot of more recent cameras.

What is your greatest achievement or something you’re very proud of?

Shooting concert photography at the SSE Arena, Wembley. I got to photograph bands including A Day to Remember and New Found Glory, even getting to go behind the scenes.
Graduating in London with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), travelling to different countries for photography work… but mostly I’m really proud that I’ve followed my heart doing what makes me happy and not losing my creativity along the way.

 

Who or what is your biggest influence?

Mick Rock, Jamie Noise, Terry O’Neil, Phoebe Fox… Rock ‘N’ Roll!
