Autofocus is equipped with Tamron's VXD linear motor. Thanks to this fast and high-precision autofocus system, the user can precisely adjust the focus from the closest focussing distance to infinity. The 50-300mm f/4.5-6.3 VC is equipped with Tamron's VC (Vibration Control) mechanism, which effectively reduces camera shake.
Half-Macro Photography at 50mm
Outstanding performance at close range with a close minimum focussing distance of 0.22m and a maximum magnification ration of 1:2 at the wide end enable you to get exceptionally close to your subject and create fascinating semi-macro shots. At 300mm, minimum focussing distance is only 0.9m and offers a magnification rate of 1:3.1
