The α1 II delivers exceptional image quality thanks to a 50.1MP Exmor RS CMOS stacked sensor, paired with a BIONZ XR™ processor. This enables α1 II to create images with accurate colours and low noise, even at mid-to-high ISOs when shooting in low-light requires this. Sharp images are also possible when the use of slower shutter speeds is required thanks to an upgraded 8.5 stops of in-body image stabilisation. If you're in need of even sharper images, α1 II features two new Composite RAW features which enable capture of scenes in remarkable 200MP resolution or reduce noise for cleaner images. Thanks ot the stacked sensor and incredibly fast readout, there is next-to-no rolling shutter regardless of the resolution and frame rate that you're shooting at.

Record your video in S-CINETONE for a cinematic look straight out of camera, or, if you have specific preferences on how you'd like your footage to look, customise with your own LUTs using the in-camera LUT import feature. Ultimate flexibility for editing footage is afforded when recording in S-LOG 3. Colour reproduction has been improved in the α1 II and can now be matched up more easily with footage from Sony's Venice and Burano Cinema cameras. Pair α1 II  with Sony FE lenses with Dynamic Active and Breathing Compensation, helping you to enhance the stability of your footage and aid in cinematic transitions.

A sharp 1.6cm, Quad-XGA OLED, 9.44M-dot EVF with a deep eyecup ensures comfortable viewing of the frame, even in the harshest light. A 4-axis vari-angle 3.2in LCD rear touchscreen lets your frame at awkward angles and adjust your composition with just a touch. A re-designed ergonomic grip gives improved handling and a more secure and stable hold on your setup.
