Sharp images just as you want them
Perfectly focused photos and 4K movies are effortless with the Z50. The Hybrid-AF system is fast and precise. On-sensor AF points cover approximately 90% of the frame, both horizontally and vertically, for superb edge-to-edge sharpness. Subjects will come into focus whether they are central, towards the edge, or even moving. Plus, the ultra-sharp electronic viewfinder (2360k-dot) can display a natural image, similar to that of a DSLR optical viewfinder, or alternatively, images can be displayed as they would look with any of the creative setting options applied. There are 20 in-camera creative effects and you can add your own twist to them all. Moreover, if you're shooting people, intelligent eye-detection AF automatically focuses and stays locked on your subject's eyes, even if they move.
Capture everything
With continuous shooting of up to 11fps, plus AF and auto-exposure, you can capture every moment as it happens without missing a single thing. Additionally, the large, high resolution LCD monitor tilts both up and down, providing you with more angles to work with when trying to capture that perfect shot.
Nikkor Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR Lens
This lens weighs a mere 135g and is as flat as a pancake when retracted, making it easily portable and easy to store. The lens also locks in place once retracted so that there's no surprises - it won't unexpectedly extend. The silent control ring can be used for key functions, for example aperture control, exposure compensation and manual focus. Plus, focusing is super fast and near silent. The in-lens VR allows you to shoot at shutter speeds of up to 4.5 stops slower than is otherwise possible without VR. This means you'll be rewarded with sharp images when photographing, and no camera shake when videoing.
