Duratect™
The X-Pro3 in Duratect™ Black has a surface hardening technology applied called Duratect™, which achieves a Vickers hardness rating of up to 1500Hv. Duratect™ is a cold plasma technology that's end result is an extremely hard, smooth and scratch resistant carbon coating on the surface of the titanium. Not only does this leave the camera incredibly scratch resistant, but it also provides a unique texture to the camera, adding to its asthetics.
Durable
The main body of the X-Pro3 is made from magnesium, however the exterior is made of titanium, which gives the camera additional strength and corrosion resistance. The black colour combines the titanium with premium quality coating resulting in a sleek appearance. In addition, weather sealing has been applied at 70 points, providing resistance from dust and moisture. The X-Pro3 can also operate in temperatures as low as -10°C so you can use this camera confidently in a range of environments.
OVF and EVF
This camera allows you to switch between the OVF (Optical Viewfinder) and the EVF (Electronic Viewfinder). The OVF provides a constant view of your subject without any time lag, and the EVF allows you to check exposure while you shoot. The EVF uses a 3.69-million-dot organic EL panel with advanced display performance, and the EL panel has a high contrast ratio of over 1:5000 and a maximum luminance of 1500cd/m2 in order to display even the finest of details, even in shadows and highlights. Additionally, it covers 97% of the sRGB colour space, therefore providing more accurate colour reproduction. Moreover, the camera features an 'Electronic Range Finder' function in which a small EVF window is displayed within the OVF to the with the checking of electronic settings. The EVF window displays live view, enlargement of an AF point, and pictures taken, thus improving the usefulness of the OVF.
Focusing
The X-Pro3 can autofocus at a minimum luminance of -6EV, which is almost pitch darkness. The X-Pro3 also features an AF range limiter function whereby you can either select from 2 preset values or use the focus ring to specify any focus range.
180° LCD
The LCD of this camera is 1.62-million-dot high resolution and flips approximately 180°, allowing you to shoot from multiple angles - up high, ground level, hip height etc. The screen displays a wide angle view and delivers high contrast yet natural colour reproduction for a clear, high quality view.
