Compact Convenience
The perfect lens for travel, wildlife or sport, this telephoto zoom lens has a constant f/2.8 aperture across the whole focal length range. The advanced lens design means that this zoom lens is shorter and lighter than the EF equivalent, with super fast AF and improved close focusing. The smaller size makes this lens easy to store away and makes it a great space-saver, while the lighter weight means you can take this lens on your travels without being weighed down.
L-series quality
This L-series lens does not disappoint, and features weather sealing and flourine coatings to guard the lens from dust and water. Plus, it also boasts heat resistant paint to keep the lens cool in hot conditions. Not only that, but this zoom lens also features a 9-blade aperture, a 5-stop Image Stabiliser, aspherical and Super UD elements and SWC and Super Spectra coatings. And for the first time in a Canon lens, Dual Nano USM motors bring amazing levels of rapid and silent continuous focusing, perfect for both still and video.
