The Atomos Shinobi II has been redesigned with a new, slimline case and a 50% brighter HDR screen, yet it manages to pack in all of Atomos' renowned screen processing technology and professional monitoring tools, plus exciting new hardware features such as camera control.

Despite the addition of more hardware features, Shinobi II has been kept down to 210g, with additional locating pin thread holes at the bottom for more secure mounting. The battery compartment is central to improve balance and manoeuvrability, while the included HDMI & USB-C locking adapter enables use of Atomos' new line of locking cables for rock-solid connectivity. With a 50% brighter 1500-nit, 5-inch high resolution HDR screen, Shinobi II is good to go whether shooting in the studio or out in bright sunlight.

Shinobi II can be used to control a number of different cameras via a connecting USB-C cable, including the most recent models from Canon, Panasonic & Sony whilst also having the capability to control popular compact cinema cameras from Z CAM's E2 line.

Use Shinobi II's Camera Status indicator to keep an eye on the camera's internal record settings, battery status and remaining record time. The red edge display shows when the camera is recording internally, regardless of whether it's triggered by the camera of from the Shinobi II.

Combine Shinobi II's ability to adjust your camera lenses' aperture, shutter speed and ISO with it's built-in exposure tools such as false colour, waveforms, zebras or the histogram and achieve perfect exposure on every shot.

Shinobi II features a single HDMI 1.4 port and enables you to monitor signals in various resolutions and frame rates. Shinobi II enables monitoring of 4K DCI and 4K UHD up to 30p and 1080p HD up to 60p.Shinobi II also features a variety of frame guides to cater toward a range of styles and platforms. Featuring presets for: 2.41; 2.35; 1.91; 1.9; 1.85; 16:9; 9:16; 4:5; 2:3; 1:1; 5:4; 4:3 & 3:2 you can be sure that you'll always be able to frame your shot correctly.

Use the HDR HLG and HDR PQ monitoring modes to preview what your camera's LOG output might look like in HDR, or upload up to 8 LUTs of your own to Shinobi II's built-in storage to preview your shots in your own favourite styles.

Shinobi II runs under a version of Atomos' latest operating system, AtomOS 11, meaning that whilst looking amazing, it introduces a host of new, innovative features. Tools are more visible and the look of icons is improved so you know exactly what you are selecting. It's easier to use, more intuitive and feels more professional.
