Successful Shooting in the Studio with David Robbins

About this course:

This is an ideal course for someone who wants to try studio photography, but has never used a studio before, or for someone who wants to get the most from their time in the studio. You will learn the basics of studio photography, including the use of studio lighting, modifiers and backdrops to achieve different results.

David Robbins, former tutor at The Nikon School uses his expert knowledge and experience to take you step-by-step studio photography, from the equipment itself, how to use it to your advantage in different studio situations (i.e. with a model vs still life) through to a real photo shoot with a model. You will leave with an in depth understanding of studio photography and able to confidently use the equipment to produce the shots you want.

Course requirements

This course is ideal for anyone who has previously completed Wilkinson Workshop – Beyond the Basics, Wilkinson Workshop 2 – The Art of Flash Photography, has completed Wilkinson Beginner’s Workshop Stage 1 and Stage 2, or a self-taught enthusiast.

Please bring your camera and lens (or lenses) with a fully charged battery and suitable memory card.

A good understanding of aperture and shutter speed and ISO is required. A basic understanding of manual exposure (M) and a basic understanding of flash photography is desirable, but not essential.
