Mark will demonstrate simple, effective workflows from shoot through to output, either on screen or in print. He will illustrate, the importance of colour management, image editing, and cover the relevant new features of Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC.
The course should appeal to any photographer with an interest in Lightroom and Photoshop. Topics will be introduced without assuming prior knowledge, but Mark will be prepared to answer in-depth questions from more advanced users when appropriate. The course covers a lot of ground, but it will be delivered in a friendly, accessible way, with minimal jargon.
About Mark Wood
Mark Wood learnt the craft of professional photography whilst working for newspapers. His specialisms are digital imaging and print, having first worked as a graphic designer before moving to photography. Teaching has always been an important part of Mark’s practice; lecturing in colleges and universities, in addition to running training courses for both professional and amateur photographers. A published author, his latest book is the only Apple-certified book on the Apple productivity apps–Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. His work in colour management has been recognised by X-Rite, and he delivers webinars for them and other well-known companies.
The only requirement is a pen and notepad/paper. No prior knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom is required, but a basic grasp of computer use is necessary to get the most from the day.
You are invited to bring along a laptop with an up to date version of either software package to work with on the day, but this is not necessary as we appreciate not everyone will have a laptop. Please note: Mark will not be able to troubleshoot individual computer issues on the day, due to time restraints.
Before attending the course we recommend watching the following videos. They may raise some questions which Mark will be happy to answer on the training day.
