10x power-drive (PD) zoom lens: designed with movie making in mind and delivers superb stills too.

10-100mm zoom range (35 mm equivalent: 27-270 mm).

Nikon 1 mount optimized optics: boasts an HRI (High Refractive Index) lens element as well as three aspherial lens and two ED glass elements, for high resolution and superior contrast.

Vibration Reduction stabilization system: enables more flexible hand-held shooting. Offers effects equivalent to using shutter speeds that are up to three stops slower.

Voice Coil motors (VCM): offer super-quite autofocus performance, which is especially useful during movie recording.

Power-drive zoom switch: with adjustable zoom speed for smooth zoom control. Lets you zoom quickly or slowly towards, or away from, subjects.

Retractable lens mechanism: lens automatically retracts when you power the camera off. Boasts a lens lock switch to keep the lens extended when you turn the camera off so it’s ready to shoot that much more quickly when you turn the camera on again.
