Long-range radio triggering
The Speedlite 600EX-RT has a built-in radio trigger, providing reliable off-camera flash at distances of up to 30m, even around corners. 15 frequency channels are available, just select the one with the best reception for the location you are shooting.
Use up to 15 Speedlite 600EX-RT units together for dramatic multi-flash photography – perfect when shooting large objects, interiors or portraits. Flashguns may be placed in one of three groups (up to five with when using radio triggering), which can be controlled individually or all together.
E-TTL II metering
Whether you use the Speedlite 600EX-RT on camera or remotely, Canon’s E-TTL II flash metering will ensure accurate exposures every time.
Remote camera triggering
Position your EOS anywhere you like and trigger it with the Speedlite 600EX-RT from up to 30m away. Just equip the camera with a Speedlite transmitter ST-E3-RT radio trigger or a second Speedlite 600EX-RT flashgun to enjoy dramatic alternative viewpoints. Up to 15 cameras can be trigger at once for synchronised shooting.
Creative flash modes
High-speed flash sync enables the Speedlite 600EX-RT to operate at any shutter speed – perfect for fill-in flash on sunny days. Or why not try second-curtain or stroboscopic flash for special lighting effects?
Fast, powerful operation
With a guide number of 60 (ISO 100, m), the Speedlite 600EX-RT is powerful enough to light up large areas, even when light is bounced off walls and ceilings. Four AA/LR6 batteries provide silent recycling in as little as 0.1 sec.
Bounce, swivel and zoom functions
Direct the Speedlite 600EX-RT’s flash head upwards or sideways to bounce flash off ceilings or walls, for a softer approach to portrait lighting. A zoom head allows the angle of coverage to match the lens in use, maximising flash efficiency
Professional features; intuitive design
The Speedlite 600EX-RT enjoys the same degree of weatherproof sealing as Canon’s EOS-1D X professional DSLR, and a large illuminated dot matrix LCD display that provides quick and easy operation.
